What does the world cost?
So many times we have been asked: „What does it cost to travel around the world?“ The answer isn’t that easy because first of all it’s a question of where you wanna go and how you prefer to travel. Let’s try to give you some hints…
For us, it never was a question of comfort – we prefered budget accommodation and traveling by public transport. But we didn’t went to the cheapest destinations. At the end we’ve just followed our dreams, visiting diverse countries we’d love to see once in our lifetime, each of them with different focus: Trekking in Tanzania and Patagonia, Surfing in Hawaii and Indonesia, cruising around New Zealand and California…
Therefore, the following overview is just part of our personal experience. The numbers were counted while traveling around the world in 2014. We do not claim to have the right answer for the price of the world – but at least we can say how much you have to spent for a hair cut in South Africa compared to Argentina.
